Introduction
EyeTrainer brings evidence-based vision therapy exercises into visionOS with precise per-eye control, real 3D objects, and custom exercise paths you draw yourself.
8 Built-in Exercises
Each exercise targets a different aspect of visual function, from smooth pursuit tracking to rapid-fire saccades and depth convergence.
Left-Right Pursuit
Smooth horizontal tracking left and right
Up-Down Pursuit
Smooth vertical tracking up and down
Circular Pursuit
Smooth circular orbital tracking

Zig Zag Left-Right
Diagonal sweeps with horizontal progression
Zig Zag Up-Down
Diagonal sweeps with vertical progression
Saccades
Rapid jumps between random positions
Convergence / In-Out
Near-to-far depth tracking
What Makes It Different
- True dichoptic control. Independently set color, brightness, contrast, and visibility for each eye using hardware-level ShaderGraphMaterial rendering, the same technique used in clinical vision therapy.
- Draw your own paths. Pinch and drag in space to create any movement pattern. Paths are recorded and smoothed with Catmull-Rom splines, then saved as custom exercises.
- A real 3D object. The training ball is a RealityKit entity you can physically grab and reposition anywhere in your room, not a flat UI element.
- Fixation overlays. An X marker on the ball helps anchor fixation, matching techniques used in formal vision therapy programs.
- Fully adjustable. Speed, range, ball size, distance, lighting presets, and session timer are all configurable per-session or saved as named presets.
- Evidence-based design. Exercise parameters and patterns are drawn from published vision therapy and perceptual learning research.
Who It's For
- People managing amblyopia (lazy eye) who want structured home training
- Those with convergence insufficiency looking to build stamina between appointments
- Anyone experiencing eye strain from screens or extended reading
- Athletes looking to sharpen visual tracking and reaction speed
- Patients working with a vision therapist who want a consistent home practice tool
